Experienced Louisiana Insurance Leader Harold Louis "Chip" Brockhaus
Based in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, Harold Louis "Chip" Brockhaus joined Affiliated Insurance Agencies as president and chief executive officer in 1997. He increased revenues at the small, independent agency by more than 400 percent, helping the company achieve profitability. In 2000, Affiliated Insurance Agencies merged with IUL Risk Solutions in Metairie, Louisiana. Harold Louis "Chip" Brockhaus spent 24 years as a risk consultant at IUL, where he played an integral role designing and monitoring an array of risk management programs. He earned the company’s Eagle Award and Purple Cow Award.
In 2024, IUL merged with Alera Group. As a risk and bond consultant at Alera Group, Chip Brockhaus is responsible for matters of risk management and insurance consulting.
Chip Brockhaus began his career as a neighborhood exclusive agent at Allstate Insurance Co. A few of his interests include photography and flying RC aircraft. He also enjoys spending time with family and has a history of volunteering on the boards of various philanthropic organizations. In 2025, he was commissioned as a Stephen Minister.
